Meet our Hygienists

Advanced Dentistry of Long Island has a diverse team of hygienists catering to patients’ dental needs. Each member of our team is a highly trained and licensed health professional that is responsible for the overall care of his or her patients’ oral health. Hygienists provide routine examinations and teach patients about the proper care of their mouth.

Amy Convertino, R.D.H.

Amy Convertino has been practicing dental hygiene for 9 years. Prior to becoming licensed in her field, she had extensive training in dental assisting. Amy graduated at the top of her class from Farmingdale State University, specializing in prevention and treatment of periodontal disease.

In 2007, she advanced her credentials at the N.Y. University of Dentistry, and acquired a certification to administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide. Amy continues to further her education by frequently attending continuing education courses that enable her to stay knowledgeable with the most current dental hygiene issues. Amy’s role at Advanced Dentistry of Long Island is to help us achieve each patients’ independent needs to reach their optimal dental health. We are very happy to have Amy on our staff.

Amy is the proud mother of 3 children and spends her spare time with them. She also enjoys writing poetry.
